Joan Capua and Wiley Publishing hosted a webinar on time management for authors and researchers. The time management technique part of the webinar lasts a total of 35 minutes and states that the “To Do” list is the end product of your time management planning using the quadrant time management matrix illustrated below.
The webinar presentation goes through the kinds of activities that go into each of the four quadrants and why you add what to where. The presenter Joan Capua stated that this system was developed by former US President Dwight D Eisenhower who said “What is important is seldom urgent and what is urgent is seldom important.” This principle forms the foundations of many time management techniques and this presentation goes through the basics and addresses questions from participants in response to the presentation. The Q&A session is published on the site and is easily accessible.
